Demolition of the Ardilaun Block, an eight-storey reinforced concrete structure located on Saint Stephen’s Green, directly adjacent to the Unitarian Church and 119 St. Stephen’s Green – A Richard Cassell’s designed listed structure, currently occupied by Shanahan’s Restaurant.
Due to the city centre location and sensitivity of adjoining structures a top-down method of demolition was adopted for the works.
Significant utility and drainage diversions were carried out as part of our works to leave the site clear for the follow on works.
