DIT Kevin Street

The former college campus occupied a site of some 3.6 acres and consisted of five individual blocks which had to be demolished to make way for the development of 53,110 square feet of office accommodation in two 11-storey blocks alongside 299 build-to-rent apartments across three buildings of up to 14 storeys in height.

The individual blocks presented different challenges and therefore solutions – a mixture of top-down, high reach and conventional demolition was employed across the site.

St. Kevins Library and the remains of St. Kevins Church and are both located directly adjacent and required careful planning and the use of sensitive methodologies.

Extensive Archaeology was completed under our supervision.

Concrete arisings were recycled and reused as a piling mat for the follow-on works.
